Hey guys, I'm the editor for The Acarthia Chronicles. Right now i'm just working on short individual stories that will, in the end, be tied up into one huge journal sort of story called 'The Acarthia Chronicles' If you want some stuff that I have so far, give me your email, and I can send you part of my story, I have about four parts right now, and I dont know how many I want for the over all Chronicles, so this could take a while. Send me some ideas if you have material that you think would be good.

First, congradulations! (ack. Really wished there was a spelling check on here. =_=) I hope that you will stick to this goal! I really suggest you read up on books with info on editing and the like. A book called Write-A-Thon is good. I already told you that though, but I really do suggest you buy it.
ReplyDelete#1 rule for writers... Bring a notebook and pen with you wherever you go! And if you don't you can and WILL write on any bit of paper you can find. I spent and hour a day at the retreat writing in my notebook. ON THE RETREAT. Trust me, when Polish pong calls, its hard to resist. :P
Okay... Blogging advice! Excerpts are a good start. Little snippits. Also, I like to write about my day, kind of like an online diary, but not so personal. You can rant and all that good stuff. I suggest asking questions to provoke conversation among your followers, which is me so far. I suggest you follow your blog. Well, you don't have to... I don't see a difference. *shrugs*
Be active on your blog so people have a reason to forfit Facebook time for your blog!
Can I also say I am not surprised you used the Awesome layout?

By the way... What kind of genre is this? Fantasy? Oh! I almost forgot, read lots of books of the genre you are writing! I read fantasy more than anything else so I write that.

DeleteI kindfully suggest you tone down the color for the text so that your followers (me) don't end up blind. x_x
(look in settings and go to Advanced. Tweak with it a bit until it's not sore on the eyes. Complementary colors work best. So if the background is dark, a similar color works. Like with this one... Dark green? I'm just throwing that out.)
